Hello, I am using osc/pilot on a Windows pc to control Ableton on a Mac. At the moment I’m using rtpmidi to enable the two hosts to interact. This is fine while I’m in my studio, but I’m quite worried taking it out on the road due to possible wifi connection instability. Is there any way that I can make this connection with a cable (ethernet, usb or other)? Please note that I’m using osc/pilot with midi cc and osc messages, so for the osc messages rtpmidi is not involved. Thanks
Yeah just plug the two machines together with an ethernet cable and assign them static addresses under the same subnet and it will work. No router needed.
Fantastic, will try this out. Thanks!!
